How does Six Black Pens connect kids in remote Aboriginal Australia with New York basketball fame, to inspire and create change? Sometimes it starts with a trek.

We’re seriously passionate about helping out our friends at Charity Bounce. It’s a not-for-profit inspiring positive change to overcome disadvantage for individuals and communities, delivered in partnership with professional sports and athletes.

So passionate, in fact, that along with a raft of pro bono creative work, some of us even donned hiking boots and hit the Larapinta Trail to help the team raise much-needed funds.

This year, one of my co-founders here at Six Black Pens, Chris Tappenden, and I slept under the stars deep in the outback and trekked for two solid days. We surpassed our own personal fundraising targets of $6,000 to contribute to the more than $33,000 raised in what was a fantastic exercise!

We thoroughly enjoyed spending 2018 helping Charity Bounce on their journey towards further recognition and providing even more inspiration for kids across Australia.

After some critical early brand and logo design work, we embarked on a hugely successful campaign to tie a key ambassador (former Harlem Globetrotter Tracy Williams) to the brand, using bold posters and succinct, punchy messaging.

Watch this space later in 2019 for a brand new social media strategy set to boost this excellent charity long into the future.

Thanks to all our great clients and collaborators for our work together in 2018 and we look forward to working with you all again this year.
